Finely chop the white cabbage, pour boiling salted water over it and sauté briefly. Slightly brown the finely chopped onions in lard, add drained white cabbage, caraway seeds and sugar, cook. Reduce the juice, dust the cabbage with flour, sauté, add vinegar and tap water and sauté briefly.

The dish should not be mushy and should taste sweet and sour.

– Instead of vinegar, you can also use the juice of a lemon or a little white wine.

Tip: Lemons add a fresh touch to dishes. Consciously choose ripe, rich yellow lemons!
