Instructions:

For the steam noodles with vanilla sauce, first prepare the steam noodles. To do this, mix the flour, dry yeast and sugar. Heat the milk and add it with the eggs and salt. Beat with a wooden spoon until a smooth dough is formed. Cover and place in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size.

In the meantime, peel and finely slice the apples. Melt some butter in two cassa rolls (each about 25 cm in diameter) and brush the pan with it. Divide the sliced apples evenly between the two pans. Form 12 equally sized dough balls from the risen dough and place 6 pieces in each pot on top of the sliced apples, spacing them slightly apart. Put the lid on and let it rise again for 15 minutes in a warm place.

Put on the stove top and turn on the highest heat first, as soon as it starts to sizzle in the pot, turn down to low heat. Be careful not to lift the lid again or the steamed noodles will collapse! Leave on the stove for 30 minutes.

For the custard, pour 12 tablespoons of the milk into a cup and bring the rest to a boil in a saucepan. To the milk in the cup, stir in the custard powder and 5 tablespoons of sugar. When the milk in the saucepan begins to boil, whisk in the custard powder mixture, turn off the stove top and leave the saucepan with the custard on the stove top for a few more minutes, stirring constantly. Pour the finished
