A cake recipe for all foodies:

Knead the dough ingredients into a smooth shortcrust pastry and chill for 1 hour.

Now roll out two thirds of the dough on the baking tray. Roll out the rest of the dough to a thickness of 0.5 cm, cut it into strips and stick them to the dough in a grid pattern with a little bit of milk, creating small square squares.

Cut out flower-shaped cookies from the leftover dough. Bake the dough over a good medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.

Bake the cookies at the same heat for 10 minutes.

For the topping: rinse the berries, remove the stems and drain well. Briefly bring the gooseberries to the boil with sugar.

After the pastry has cooled, fill the individual squares with the berries. Cook the cake glaze according to the instructions and pour it on the fruits form. Stick the flower squares with a little bit of cake glaze on the square corners.
