A pastry that originated in Milan. Before the use of corn flour, millet was used. Some people do not content themselves only with dressing the cookies with elderflowers, but add them ditto in the dough, as in the following recipe: beat the egg yolks with the sugar, add the butter, then the two kinds of flour, half the amount of elderflowers, the salt and ditto the baking powder. Arrange a ball of dough and let it rest for 1 hour.

Arrange small balls and place them on a buttered baking sheet, scoring them crosswise on top. Sprinkle with elderflowers. Bake in hot oven for 15-20 minutes.
