For lemons with sardine filling, cut a cap off the lemons. Scrape out the inside of the lemon with a spoon.

Drain sardines and mix with cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Mix mustard, paprika and cayenne pepper and onions into the cream cheese mixture.

Stir the pulp and juice of one lemon into the mixture as well. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the cream cheese mixture. Fill the lemons with the cream and put the lid back on.

Arrange the lemons with sardine filling on fresh lettuce and serve.
