For grandma’s tiramisu, first prepare the cream. To do this, separate the yolks from the eggs and put them in a bowl. Beat the egg yolks, sugar, grated hazelnuts and some of the rum with a mixer until foamy, then stir in the complete mascarpone. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mascarpone cream.

Mix the rest of the rum with the coffee in a shallow bowl, now dip the individual ladyfingers in the coffee and place them in the tiramisu vessel. When one layer is full of ladyfingers, add a layer of the cream on top, now another layer of ladyfingers and then a layer of cream until the desired size is reached. Sprinkle the cocoa on top of the cream and chill Grandma’s Tiramisu in the refrigerator.

Preparation Tip:

Rum, nuts and coffee can be varied according to taste and preference. Caution: Do not use too much liquid otherwise Omas Tiramisu will not be properly solid.
