Cream the butter with a mixer, add the eggs and a little salt.

Gradually sprinkle in the flour, stirring constantly, and add the milk. Let the dough rise for about half an hour with the lid closed.

Clean and grate the carrots, sprinkle with a little bit of lemon juice.

Cut ham (without fat) into small cubes.

Mix carrots and ham cubes into the waffle batter form, season heartily with salt and pepper.

Preheat waffle iron, then brush both baking halves thinly with oil. Pour 2-3 tbsp of batter on the bottom half, close the waffle iron. Bake the waffles one after the other for 4-6 min. each.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will give your dish a wonderful touch!
