These chili croissants bring spice to the cookie kitchen! Try it out and make the cookie plate so really hot!

For the chili croissants first prepare the dough. To do this, cut the cold butter into small pieces. Mix together the chocolate, nuts, flour, salt, cinnamon and chili powder. Incorporate the butter and egg and quickly knead a smooth dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for about half an hour. Then, on a floured surface, divide the dough and form into two rolls of equal length. Cut small, even slices from the rolls and shape them into croissants. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven preheated to 130 °C for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar and cocoa and then sprinkle on the slightly cooled chili croissants.

By the way: don’t be afraid of too much spiciness! You bstimmen with the choice of chili powder quite simply the intensity!

If you like more spiciness on the chili croissants, you can add a little chili powder to the powdered sugar and cocoa mixture, which also looks good!
