For the apple chia cake, beat the eggs and cane sugar until frothy. Gradually add the buttermilk, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, chia seeds, baking powder and finally the flour.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C hot air. Let the dough rest briefly, in the meantime peel the apples, grate finely and then stir directly into the dough.

Pour the mixture into glass baking cups, turn the oven down to 180°C and bake for about 20-25 minutes. Test the cake with a chopstick and take it out earlier, otherwise the cake will be too dry.

Preparation Tip:

The apple chia pie tastes best warm and possibly accompanied by a vanilla sauce!
